I've been battling a nasty bug all week, so I regret posting another non-original piece.
This was a book jacket done in acrylics on illustration board, but it needed a little more drama so I digitally added the reflection of the couple on the bridge looking down into the water.

Tell the bug to get lost! Again technical marvel and artistic splendour for my eyes. Beautiful fresh water pearls and carp! The added shadows are a bonus. It's like I am the lady about to reach for my lost necklace :)
this is really beautiful, i like the irregular shape of the pearls
holy cow, this is done in acrylics?? awesome and amazing. almost looks like a flippin' photo.
Really lovely - what a great "recycle" with the added story line. Marvelous!
Another beautiful piece Rick..nice!

Love your work!!! What programme do you use?
Thanks for the nice comments, folks.
Ellen, this piece was done 99.9% the old fashioned way...real paint on real board. But the other .1% was done in Photoshop with a Wacom tablet. Most of my digital work is in Photoshop, but I sometimes use Painter, Illustrator, and even (very rarely) some 3D apps like Bryce or Strata.
This looks great. I like the idea, and the colors.

Love the Koi and the reflection. Well done.
Wow...so pretty, thanks for providing a beautiful piece of art. Get better!
Great illustration Rick - it tells the story so perfectly. I'm so glad that you have enough old work to delight us even when you're feeling ill - get well soon
Coy are so lame... even when you try to dress it up with pearls.
Nicole,
Before you slam other people's work, perhaps you should learn how to spell.
