Asylum; WIP

The Illustration Department at SCAD-Atlanta where I teach has a club called the Illustration Asylum. This is a sketch and an unfinished color version that I've been playing with as a possible logo for the club. There is already a logo in use so I'd stopped working on it, but I was encouraged to finish it so here's what I have so far.

I still have to work out how I'm going to handle the word ILLUSTRATION at the top.

I'll post more as it progresses.

oops! I see we both went for bones today... I'd say you win. Yours is definitely spookier than mine...

Fantastic illustration. If you are only half done, I'm sure it will be amazing. I had though of a possible way to incorporate "Illustration." Maybe make it look scrawled on the bricks, slightly behind the skull? It could possibly extend beyond the spotlight. It will be tough to get it to pop enough so you will read it before you read "Asylum." Maybe it needs to be on the banner, or another smaller banner scrolling behind the other.
