Song
I offer the Amphibious Suite in C (croak) minor, by the Franklin Pond Chamber Music Quartet, performing nightly (in the warmer months), to the delight of many in north Atlanta, USA.
(The frogs and environment were done from scratch in Photoshop. The instruments are digital photos. To see a larger version of this art, go here.)

Love your talented young musicians! The expressions on their faces says it all - complete enjoyment :)
very very nice, although i dont like frogs, this ones look very nice and joyful.
Thanx,
Helena
So very charming frog quartet.
Your work is amazing! I love your frogs. Your skills in both art and digital effects are a few light-years ahead of mine, but I had a frog-theme, too!
excellent work. i like the whimsy, but the work itself is really good.
great entry.
ribbit.
HA ! HA !! GOOOD OONE!
very funny - and froggy too - great minds...
Rick, I'd come listen to them anytime! I am always so impressed by the way you treat surface textures...I see the slickness of their skin, the shine on the wood of the violins. You're really a master! BTW, I envy the blooms you have in GA! After our brief "warm' spell, we got a snow squall this morning as a precursor to a very cold front coming in. Ah... I dream of warmer climes!
Super, I love the frog with the sleepy eyes and the way they dabble their toes in the water.
these are the cutest, and most musically inclined frogs i've ever encountered, love the artwork
Completely delightful illustration.
Made me smile!
ribbet!

what lovely!!!!!!, love it!
as always u do!, although i dont like frogs.
jaja!
nice songs when frogs are singing in rainy days!
:)
These guys are so coool and so pleased with themselves.
What a nice change from just going around croaking all the time. I love it!
Thanks, everyone for the comments! I have to 'fess up to Carla, though...the instruments are digital photos! Yeah, I cheated, I know. But this was done for a very high-level string quartet program and I was afraid to take liberties with their special instruments. (Both my kids were in the program and I used their instruments and those of friends for the piece.) At any rate, it was great fun to do. And by the way, the program really does take place at a beautiful home on a pond, and the frogs really do come out and serenade everyone at night!
Another great one Rick..I like their feet seen through the water too.
Wave from Atlanta,

I love your frogs!

You are on Drawn! today Rick.

Yeah...they really nailed me on my horribly outdated website. Guess I need to get rid of those eye-hurting buttons!
Well, your art speaks for itself, and your website isn't that bad for goodness sake. :)
Dede
cool illo and great take on this week's topic!
This is wonderful! Really put a smile on my face. *G*
This is awesome! Your technique is flawless.
Very entertaining piece on many levels - I love the frogs' wry expressions and their toes lightly touching the water. You're a master...and a gentleman :o) Lovely work!
Very cool. I especially like the cellist's expression. Hadn't noted the colors of the eyes til I read one of the above comments. Another great illustration.
Wonderful! I'm so impressed with how seemlessly you merged the photos of the instruments in with the frogs, I would have never known.
Your work is simply amazing. I'm always stunned to see such wonderful work done strictly with a computer. I really need to give it a try.
